I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology of the National University of Singapore. My lab is located in the N.1 Institute for Health (N.1). I am also a member of the LSI Neurobiology programme.

Research Interests
I am interested in intelligence, both biological and artificial. My past work has primarily revolved around the study of lateral prefrontal function in primates, specifically in the context of working memory, attention and decision-making (see the publications page).

Current interests include:
1- Understanding the format of short-term memory storage in brains and RNNs using dynamical systems tools.
2- Understanding the mechanisms that link short- and long-term memory using human behavior, animal neurophysiology, and computational models.
3- Developing brain-inspired AI algorithms.
4- Expanding our understanding of the link between intelligence and consciousness, through expansions  of the Neural Replay Thought Experiment.
